-
- +o This version 1.0.1 of Adobe Acrobat Reader will not
- always print successfully on certain printers,
- particularly printers driven by Impressario or printers
- with small amounts of memory that do not support
- PostScript Level 2.
-
- It may be possible to work around your printer memory
- limitation, by using the 'Edit/Preferences...' menu
- command and selecting 'Sans only' or 'Serif only' and
- then printing the file.
-
- Also note that the Apple Personal LaserWriter NT
- printer will not properly handle substitute fonts
- unless it is upgraded to a NTR printer.
-
- +o This version of Adobe Acrobat Reader cannot read all
- PDF version 1.1 files, particularly when these files
- contain Acrobat 2.0 constructs such as document
- security or contain very large amounts of graphics on a
- single page.
-
- +o This product has been configured, through the system
- app-defaults file _A_c_r_o_r_e_a_d, to use the DPS/NX engine.
- Please do not change this configuration to use the
- native DPS facilities of the X Server. The current
- X_DPS implementation has a bug, which when used in
- conjunction with the Acrobat Reader, occasionally
- causes the X Server to exit.
-
- +o Refer to /usr/adobe/AcroRead_1.0.1/README for more
- details on some known problems for this version of
- Acrobat Reader as well as on the issue of installing
- multiple versions of DPS/NX engine with other Adobe
- products (Illustrator 5.5 and Type On Call).
-
- +o If a pre-manufacturing release of the Acrobat Reader
- has been installed on your system, it is advisable to
- deinstall the Acrobat Reader prior to installing the
- manufacturing release of this product.
